%X The cartographic representation of the drainage network shows inconsistencies due to the subjectivity present in the process mapping. The literature suggests the existence of a link between relief, the precipitate volume and lithotype (Rocky Basement) in the evolution and structure of the drainage network and consequently in its drainage basin. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the size of the first-order basins (which have springs) and the global roughness concentration index (RCI Global - adopted as relief variable) to identify a mathematical relation that can be incorporated in the mapping process. The study area was cut sheet Eldorado Paulista (SG.22-XB-VI São Paulo state, south Brazil). In an environment of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), was generated the Global Roughness Concentration Index (RCI Global) based on SRTM project data and first-order basins were mapped based on planialtimetric data acquired by the electronic address GIS Ribeira de Iguape and south coast. Finally, RCI Global was related to the area of the first order basin through pearson correlation. The spatial correlation test indicated a weak correlation between the size of the first-order basins with two ICR-Global models generated. However, one can best characterize the relationship between ICR-Global models and size of first-order basins.
